Ghanaian players Naeem Mohammed and Phil Ofosu-Ayeh were the stars of the show as Halmstads BK cruised to a 4-0 win over GAIS in the Swedish Allsvenskan on Saturday afternoon.

Mohammed and Ofosu-Ayeh, who both started the game and played the full 90 minutes, scored a goal each in the second half to help Halmstads BK secure a comfortable victory.

The hosts took the lead in the first minute of the game when Villiam Granath scored with a right-footed shot from the left side of the six-yard box. Halmstads BK continued to dominate the game and doubled their lead in the 34th minute through Amir Al Ammari’s left-footed shot from outside the box.

Ofosu-Ayeh then made it 3-0 in the 72nd minute with a right-footed shot from very close range, following a fast break and an assist from Mohammed. The Ghanaian midfielder then capped off a brilliant performance by converting a penalty in the 96th minute to make it 4-0.

Mohammed has been in impressive form for Halmstads BK this season, having played 12 games, scored five goals, and provided two assists. Ofosu-Ayeh has also made a positive impact, scoring two goals in 12 games.

Ghanaian defender Thomas Boakye also featured in the game for Halmstads BK, coming on in the 80th minute to replace goalscorer Villiam Granath.
