Ghanaian defender Kingsley Schindler instrumental in Samsunspor’s 1-1 draw against Besiktas in Turkish Super Lig

Ghanaian defender, Kingsley Schindler, played a crucial role in Samsunspor’s 1-1 draw against Besiktas in the Turkish Super Lig on Saturday afternoon.

Schindler, who came on as a substitute in the 59th minute, replacing Zeki Yavru, provided the assist for Samsunspor’s equalizer at the Tüpraş Stadyumu.

Prior to the game, the head-to-head record between the two teams was evenly balanced, with Besiktas and Samsunspor each having one win, and one draw. The first half of the game saw Besiktas take the lead in the 18th minute, thanks to a right-footed shot from Semih Kiliçsoy.

However, Samsunspor fought back in the second half, with Schindler’s introduction proving to be a game-changer. In the 68th minute, Emre Kilinç scored a left-footed shot from the left side of the six-yard box, with Schindler providing the assist.

This was Schindler’s second contribution to a goal in the Turkish Super Lig this season, having scored one goal and assisted once in eleven games.

Samsunspor will look to build on this result in their next league game against Demirspor.
