Dutch-born Ghanaian defender Godfried Frimpong has been included in the Portuguese top-flight team of the week for week 30.
Frimpong was instrumental in Moreirense’s 2-0 victory over Tondela and has been rewarded with a place in the team.
Moreirense defeated Tondela at home to increase their chances of survival with four games remaining.
During the game, the left-back had an offensive and defensive impact.
In the first instance, he displayed eight possession recoveries and seven defensive actions, and then he added three complete dribbles in four and created a noticeable occasion.
Frimpong joined Moreirense in July of last year but has only recently become a regular, appearing in the club’s last three games.
The left-back, born in Rotterdam and has Ghanaian roots, has featured for Netherlands U-16 & U18 youth teams.
