Ghanaian youngster Richmond Antwi featured for his Phoenix Rising FC on Sunday night when the team suffered a 5-1 defeat at the hands of Tampa Bay in the USL Championship.
In a game serving as a matchday 11 encounter of the ongoing season, the former Legon Cities FC forward missed out on a starting role.
Later in the 75th minute of the second half, Richmond Antwi was introduced to replace Santi Moar.
Although he would try to make things click for Phoenix Rising FC, it was just not meant to be for the home team.
Tampa Bay proved too strong although Luis Manuel Seijas had scored in the 15th minute of the first half to give the hosts the lead.
Goals from Jake LaCava, Dayon Harris, and Jake Areman in the first half plus two own goals in the second half saw Tampa Bay come from behind to win 5-1 at the end of the 90 minutes.
With his appearance last night, Richmond Antwi has now played five matches for Phoenix Rising FC this season. He has one goal to his name but has yet to provide an assist.
