German youth international of Ghanaian descent Ansgar Knauff says the just-ended season was incredible as he won the Europa League with Eintracht Frankfurt.
The Europa League frenzy is over, and the UEFA award for the best young professional has been won, but the shooting star from Eintracht Frankfurt still has one last goal.
“The season was really incredible. But now I want to bring it to a good conclusion,” says Knauff before the German U21s’ European Championship qualifier against Hungary on Friday (June 3).
Holders Germany are just a point away from two games to seal their sixth consecutive finals appearance.
“We have enough quality with this team,” says Knauff. The ticket for EM 2023 in Romania and Georgia should be secured.
Knauff is expected to stay on loan at Frankfurt for next season despite excelling greatly in his first spell.
