KAA Genk winger Osman Bukari has expressed delight after netting his maiden goal for the Black Stars of Ghana.
The FC Nantes loanee scored as Ghana whitewashed Madagascar to begin their 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers on a winning note.
Bukari pounced on a Mohammed Kudus pass, before rounding up the goalkeeper and cooly slotting home in the 85th minute.
“Alhamdulilah… Debut goal for Ghana Black Stars and definitely won’t be the last. Thank y’all for your messages. Keep supporting the Black stars!,” he wrote on Twitter.
The former Accra Lions player has been an important inclusion to the Black Stars team since Otto Addo took over.
He played a key role as Ghana qualified for the World Cup and seems to be enjoying his run of form for both club and country.
He was part of the FC Nantes team that won the first French Cup in 22 years.
Mohammed Kudus and Felix Afena-Gyan were also on target in the 3-0 victory in Cape Coast.
The team travels to Angola for the second Group E game against the Central African Republic.
