Ghana winger Kamaldeen Sulemana cameos in Southampton’s 3-1 defeat to Bristol City

Ghana international, Kamaldeen Sulemana climbed off the bench to feature for Southampton on Tuesday night in the English Championship game against Bristol City.

The forward missed out on a starting role for the Saints but was introduced into the game in the 74th minute to replace Joe Rothwell.

Before coming on, Southampton had already conceded two goals and struggled to turn things around.

Unfortunately, Kamaldeen Sulemana could not inspire his team to come from behind.

A late penalty converted by Adam Armstrong was the only consolation goal for Southampton.

Goals from Samuel Bell, Robert Dickie, and Harry Cornick led Bristol City to a delightful win at home staged at Ashton Gate Stadium.

Today’s defeat which is the first for Southampton since September 2023, is a major blow for the team in the quest to secure promotion to the English Premier League.

Up next for the Saints, the team will take on West Brom next weekend.
