Ghana U-15 girls off to flying start in WAFU B qualifiers

Ghana’s U-15 school Girls team romped to a fine start to the 2023 CAF African Schools Football Championship, with a 3-0 win over Cote D’Ivoire at the WAFU B Zonal qualifiers in Lome.

The CAF Schools girls competition is being played in an 8 A-side format. The Ghanaian school girls defeated Benin 1-0 in their other match.

Ghana drew 1-1 with host Togo and finally had a walkover in their game against Nigeria, who pulled out.

Ghana tops the standings with 10 points – to  qualify for the semi-finals.

The CAF African Schools Football Championship is the brainchild of CAF President Dr. Patrice Motsepe and its aimed at contributing to the development of Africa’s next generation of football talents and future leaders.
