Ghana U-15 Girls finish second in WAFU Zone B African Schools Football Championship

Ghana’s U-15 Girls ended the WAFU Zone B Schools Championship as silver medalists after losing out to host, Togo in Sunday’s final.

The Ghanaian side fought fiercely in the second half, launching relentless attacks, but the host held their ground to win the game.

In the Boys U-15 category, Ghana returned with a Bronze medal after defeating Nigeria 5:4 on penalties at Stade Municipal. President, Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku commended the team for their spirited performance and urged the players to continue working hard for future assignments.

The CAF African Schools Football Championship is the brainchild of CAF President Dr Patrice Motsepe with the aim to develop Africa’s next generation of football talent and future leaders.
