Ghana teenagers Kamaldeen Sulemana and Afena-Gyan named in the shortlist for 2022 Golden Boy Award

Two talented Ghana teenagers, Kamaldeen Sulemana and Felix Afena-Gyan have been shortlisted for the 2022 Golden Boy Award.

The award is given by Italian Tabloid Tuttosport to the best young footballer in Europe over a calendar year.

The award which has become very popular over the years is voted for by sports journalists.

In the last few years, Ghanaian players including Mohammed Kudus and Kamaldeen Sulemana have been shortlisted for the award but unfortunately missed out.

This year, Kamaldeen Sulemana who is still just 19 years has earned another nomination.

He had a good season with FC Stade Rennais last season despite his injury problems.

He is on the shortlist alongside his countryman Felix Afena-Gyan who has become a star to watch at AS Roma.

Although the odds are not in the favour of the Black Stars players, it is good for the appreciation they are receiving.
