Ghana’s Black Stars have dropped six places to 70th in the latest FIFA World Rankings following a disappointing September international break.
The team’s poor performance in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers contributed to the decline after losing 1-0 to Angola before a 1-1 draw with Niger in Morocco.
Countries that have moved above Ghana in the global rankings include Georgia, Burkina Faso, the United Arab Emirates, Albania, and Cape Verde.
On the continent, Ghana sit in 14th with Morocco at the top while Senegal sit in second.
The next FIFA World Rankings edition will be released on October 19th, 2024.
