Ghana Premier League Matchday 4 Preview

The Premier League matches will continue on Sunday September 29, 2024, with eight mouth-watering fixtures to look forward to across the country.

The Fire Club were among the least performing clubs in the league away from home last season and will be eager to mastermind their first away victory of the season.

Both sides are meeting for the first time in the league after the Wenchi lads gain promotion into the Premier League this season.

Lions remains unbeaten after three league games (W1, D2), that pair of draws means they are just a point behind table-topping Bibiani Gold Stars ahead of their meeting.

They’ve scored 5, conceded 3 and are currently 3rd in the league table. After winning 10 of their last 12 consecutive home league games since last season without conceding, the Kpando lads will hope to continue that impressive form on Sunday.

Legon Cities FC take on Karela United FC at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium in the Ghanaian top-flight on Sunday on match week 4.

There are eight Premier League sides yet to secure victories in the new season, and two of them meet here as Legon Cities take on Karela United.

It’s not been the return to the new campaign that the Royals had been hoping for, with the frustrations around their winless run (D1, L2) magnified by some poor luck.

The defending Premier League champions will be aiming to overcome their exit from the CAF Champions League when they play in front of their home fans at the Nsenkyire Sports Arena.

The Timber Giants have two outstanding games to play in match week 2 and 3 against Bibiani Gold Starts and Medeama SC.

FC Samartex 1996 drew goalless in their first game of the season to Dreams FC. They accumulated the most points at home last season (48). The Timber Giants will be eager to secure all the points on Sunday to keep up with that home form in the league.

Vision FC remain the only newly promoted side yet to taste a defeat. The newcomers are currently 4th in the league table with 5 points, scored 3 and conceded 1 so far.

FC Samartex 1996 is playing Vision FC at home for the first time in the league after Vision FC gained promotion into the Premiership this season.
