Bibiani Gold Stars maintained their unbeaten run in the Ghana Premier League with a hard-fought 1-0 victory over debutants Basake Holy Stars at Dun’s Park on Sunday.

After a goalless first half, Frank Amankwah’s 73rd-minute strike proved decisive, securing the vital three points for the home side.

Basake Holy Stars, who had impressively beaten Hearts of Oak 1-0 in their opening match and drawn with Dreams FC, suffered their first defeat in their debut top-flight campaign.

Bibiani Gold Stars, with a game in hand against Samatex FC, sit atop the league table with 6 points.

They will face Heart of Lions next.
