Applicants who have completed the medical examination for the Ghana Police Service’s 2025/2026 recruitment exercise but have not yet been invited to validate their documents remain eligible for selection, the Service has said.
The Police said those applicants would be processed in later batches as the recruitment exercise continues in phases. The assurance was issued in a statement on Saturday, August 1, 2026, amid concerns among candidates who had completed the medical stage but had not received invitations for the next step.
The first group of successful applicants has already been invited to designated centres across the country, where officials are conducting document validation. The exercise is intended to establish the authenticity of the academic certificates, examination results and other credentials submitted by candidates during the recruitment process.
Applicants who have not been contacted for validation have not been removed from consideration, the Ghana Police Service said.
“All other applicants who successfully completed the medical examination and have been declared medically fit but have not been invited for validation are in the recruitment pool for consideration in subsequent batches,” the statement said.
The Service added that the recruitment programme would continue in stages until 2028, in accordance with its recruitment schedule. Candidates were urged to remain calm and patient while the various phases are completed.
The phased approach means applicants will not necessarily be invited for document verification at the same time. Invitations are being issued in batches to centres designated for the nationwide exercise, with the first batch currently undergoing checks.
The validation stage forms part of the wider recruitment process and allows the Police to verify the information provided by applicants. Candidates are expected to rely on formal communication to learn when they are required to attend.
The Ghana Police Service also warned applicants and members of the public about misinformation linked to the recruitment exercise. It cautioned candidates against giving money to people who claim they can influence the outcome of the process or secure recruitment places.

Applicants were advised to obtain updates only through official Ghana Police Service communication channels. The warning was intended to help candidates avoid false information and potential fraud as the recruitment exercise progresses.
The Service’s message was that completing the medical examination and being declared medically fit keeps an applicant in the recruitment pool, even if an invitation for document validation has not yet been received. Further batches will be processed under the recruitment timetable, which is scheduled to run in phases through 2028.
