Ghanaian defensive midfielder Isaac Twum has joined Norwegian club Førde on a free transfer after leaving fellow Norwegian side Fjæra.
The move was completed on 3 August 2026, with no transfer fee involved. Twum’s contract length has not been disclosed.
The 28-year-old will remain in Norway as he begins the next stage of his career with Førde, who compete in the Norsk Tipping-Ligaen Division 3. The club are preparing for the 2026/27 season and have recruited Twum to strengthen their midfield.
Twum is expected to bring experience and greater stability to Førde’s engine room. His role has traditionally been focused on protecting the defence, disrupting opposition attacks and helping his team retain possession from a deep midfield position.
His arrival also gives Førde a player with senior international experience. Twum has represented Ghana at senior level and has been involved with the Black Stars during a career that has taken him across several countries.
Before moving to Førde, Twum played for Fjæra in Norway. His departure brings that spell to an end, but he will continue his career in the same country after agreeing to join the Division 3 club as a free agent.
Twum has also played for clubs in Ghana, Egypt, Iraq and Jordan. The move to Førde is therefore the latest step in a well-travelled career that has included football in five countries.
Førde will hope the midfielder’s background and experience can help them during the new campaign. His ability to operate in front of the defence is expected to provide a platform for the team, while his experience of playing in different football environments could add leadership to the squad.
