Black Galaxies goalkeeper Benjamin Asare has assured Ghanaians of victory against Nigeria in the Championship of African Nations (CHAN) qualifiers.

Ghana will play host to their neighbors at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday, December 22, 2024 before the reverse fixtures in Nigeria one week later.

The Galaxies team recently beat Togo in an international friendly game with Albert Amoah and Issah Yakubu getting the goals.

Speaking ahead of the game, Asare, Hearts of Oak captains promised victory against their opponent Nigeria.

“Preparation has been good. It’s a great opportunity for us representing the Black Galaxies.

“I will plead with Ghanaians to come in their numbers to support us and we promise to give them victory, ” he told GFA media.

The Championship for African Nations (CHAN) tournament is set to be staged in Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania early next year.
