Ghana international Patrick Twumasi was a hero for his Maccabi Netanya outfit on Sunday when the team defeated Hapoel Beer Sheva 3-0 in the Israeli top-flight league.
The former Astana poster boy since joining the club in Israel has impressed and is currently one of the team’s best players.
Today, he was in the starting eleven of Maccabi Netanya when the team played host to Hapoel Beer Sheva.
On the back of a goalless draw from the first half, the hosts took the lead in the 52nd minute courtesy of a fantastic strike from Patrick Twumasi.
Later in the 83rd minute of the clash, the player who is courting attention from the technical handlers of the Black Stars grabbed his second of the day to put his team firm in control.
With Parfait Guiagon getting his name on the scoresheet for Maccabi Netanya in the closing minutes, the team sealed a 3-0 win at the end of the encounter to amass all three points.
The two goals today means that Patrick Twumasi now has six goals and three assists after making eleven appearances in the Israeli top-flight league.
