Ghana and Hearts of Oak legend Mohammed Polo to put property in Lome on sale to fund Polo Academy project [GTV Sports+] —

Football legend Mohammed Polo has raised question marks about Ghana’s commitment to its legends as he is left solely to run for funds for his Polo Soccer Academy Project.

Last week, the Chief of Odumse-Dodowa released a 13.17-acre land to the 1978 AFCON winner as his show of commitment to the project which Polo describes as a dream.

The legendary playmaker, nicknamed the Dribbling Magician, has nurtured many talents on the Ghanaian scene including former Ghana Premier League top scorer Eric Bekoe.

Polo’s dream is to translate his footballing philosophy to talented Ghanaian youngsters and his passion and vision are stopping at no point.

He tells Isaac Tetteh on the File Show on GTV Sports+ that he plans to sell his property in Lome, Togo’s capital, to raise funds to ensure his dream commences.

“I once sold my family house to rehabilitate the Ajax Park in Legon and in the end, I was prevented from using the facility if I don’t pay the facility user fee.

“Now, I’ve got a property in Lome that I will put on sale to start the project,” he said.
