The Ghana Football Association has revealed its intention to consult FIFA regarding concerns over potential conflicts of interest involving Kwasi Appiah during the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
Appiah, currently an Executive Council Member of the GFA, also holds the position of head coach for Sudan, a team set to compete against Ghana in the qualifiers.
This dual role has sparked debate over governance and conflict of interest.
“Kwasi Appiah was duly elected into office. It is within his right to accept any job opportunity that comes to him,” Communication Director of the Ghana FA, Henry Asante Twum told JoySports.
“It is an issue of governance, what is right and what is not right. We will consult FIFA governance on the matter and act on what they say.”
In addition to Sudan, Ghana will face Angola and Niger in Group F of the qualifiers, scheduled to commence in September this year.
