The Ghana Football Association Disciplinary Committee has sanctioned Real Tamale United GHC 100,000 for using unregistered players in their game against Dreams FC.
In week 28 fixture of the just concluded campaign, RTU fielded unregistered players against the Still Believe lads as the registered squad boycotted the game over unpaid bonuses.
RTU lost 8-1 and got relegated from the top-flight.
Also, the club officials – goalkeepers trainer Slyvester Yaw Apanka, Tanko Jentumah Team Manager, Iddi Manzah Alhassan head coach, Abdul Gafaru Salifu equipment officer and Team Doctor Abdul Samed Iddrisu – have been handed a one year ban with immediate effect.
The Pride of the North will feature in the upcoming Access Bank Division One League Zone One next season.
