The Ghana Football Association has extended heartfelt condolences to Young Madrid FC and the family of midfielder Ignatius Bosompem, who tragically collapsed during a Division Two League clash against Naajo Royals FC.
In a statement, the GFA confirmed that the President, Executive Council, and General Secretary, alongside the Western Regional Football Association (WRFA), are standing in solidarity with the bereaved family and the club during this heartbreaking time.
The association emphasized its commitment to offering full support to Young Madrid FC and the WRFA, ensuring all necessary assistance is provided in the aftermath of the incident.
“The GFA stands firmly with the bereaved family, Young Madrid FC and the WRFA during this difficult period,” the statement read.
“The Football Association has remained in close contact with WRFA leadership to provide the necessary support and assistance following the unfortunate incident.”
The football governing body has called on the wider football community to keep Bosompem’s family, teammates, and all affected in their thoughts and prayers as they cope with the tragic loss.
