The Ghana Football Association and campus media outlet Radio Univers (105.7FM) have teamed up to promote the upcoming Women’s Football Festival, which is scheduled to take place at the University of Ghana stadium in Legon on Saturday, June 8, 2024.
The station, which serves the university community and surrounding neighbourhoods, is a firm advocate for women and gender inclusivity and has agreed to use its sports shows and other programmes to promote the two women’s football cup final matches.
Radio Univers has taken this step to enhance and solidify its already existing involvement in championing women’s empowerment through sports by encouraging students, especially the female campus population, to be at the stadium to cheer the ladies on.
To cap off an incredible women’s football season, Army Ladies will play Police Ladies in the Women’s FA Cup Final, while Ampem Darkoa Ladies face Hasaacas Ladies in the Malta Guinness Women’s Premier League final.
The double header final games will be played on Saturday, June 8, 2024, at the University of Ghana stadium in Legon at 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m., respectively.
Both matches will be free to the general public.
