Ghana Football Association (GFA) Communications Director Henry Asante Twum has emphasized that any active and performing player is eligible to play for Ghana.

He stated that if the coach identifies a player he wants to call up, the GFA will reach out to them.

Regarding nationality switches, Twum assured that the GFA will initiate the process and ensure it is properly handled.

Twum’s comments come amid speculation about several foreign-born players potentially switching nationality to represent Ghana at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

The GFA has been actively reaching out to diaspora players, including Chelsea’s Joshua Acheampong.
