Hearts of Oak midfielder Hussein Mohammed will miss the next three Premier League matches after the Ghana Football Association found him guilty of misconduct following the high-profile Super Clash against Asante Kotoko.
The incident occurred in November at the Accra Sports Stadium, moments after the final whistle. As referee Reginald Collins Amoah and his assistants were heading towards the dressing room under police escort, Hussein Mohammed is reported to have rushed toward the match official in anger before being restrained by security personnel.
Following investigations into the confrontation, the GFA charged the midfielder with misconduct and referred the matter to its Disciplinary Committee.
In its ruling, the Committee concluded that the Hearts of Oak player had engaged in unsporting behaviour towards match officials and imposed an immediate suspension.
“Accra Hearts of Oak SC player, Mohammed Hussein, has been handed a three (3) game ban and warned by the Disciplinary Committee for misconduct following a Ghana Premier League match against Asante Kotoko SC,” the GFA stated in an official notice on Monday, December 15.

The ban comes as a setback for Hearts of Oak, who will be without one of their midfield options as the Premier League season continues.
