The Government of Ghana has agreed to pay the remuneration of additional technical team members appointed to support the Black Stars, according to Ghana Football Association Communications Director Henry Asante Twum.
The clarification follows public discussion after the GFA announced the appointment of new members to the Black Stars technical setup as part of preparations for upcoming international assignments and the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Speaking on Akoma 87.9 FM, Twum explained that the arrangement is temporary and applies only to the duration of the coaches’ engagement with the senior men’s national team.
“It is a short-term arrangement, and the government has agreed to cover the remuneration of these coaches for the duration of their engagement,” Twum said.
The additions are meant to strengthen head coach Otto Addo’s backroom staff in areas including tactics, performance analysis and player development.
