Ghana Football Association President, Kurt Okraku, has highlighted the role of fan involvement in the sport, stating that football would be “meaningless” without their support at match venues.
The domestic league has been plagued by low attendance, with major clubs like Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak struggling to fill their stadia.
During the 30th Ordinary Congress at the Ghanaman Soccer Center of Excellence in Prampram, Okraku underscored his dedication to addressing this issue.
“Winning the 12th Man, Fixing the Fundamentals, and Consolidating Our Gains,”
We have themed today’s congress, winning the 12th man, fixing the fundamentals and consolidating our gains,” he said.
“This is in recognition of our responsibility to make our game attractive for the fans of football without whose patronage, our game is meaningless for it is this very fans who throng our match venues and consume the product and services we offer.
“We certainly owe it to our beautiful game to continue our efforts to make the game attractive to our fans and all stakeholders.”
