GFA President Kurt Okraku has defended Ghana’s referee Daniel Laryea, saying it’s normal for Nigerians to criticise him but acknowledging Laryea’s performance in Ghana’s win over Morocco.

Speaking on Joy Sports FM, Okraku praised Laryea’s handling of the game, stating he was “top” in the match.

“It is normal for Nigerians to criticise Daniel Laryea, but the truth is that he was top in their game against Morocco,” he said.

Okraku’s comments come amidst criticism from Nigerian fans, who questioned Laryea’s officiating.

The GFA President emphasized that referees will always face criticism, but Laryea did a great job in the match.
