On Sunday afternoon, Getafe and Espanyol clash at the Coliseum Alfonso Perez in La Liga as both teams look to boost their fortunes in the fight for survival.

The home side is currently on a poor run of form in La Liga, as a 2-1 defeat at Sevilla last time out means that the team from the capital have won just one of their previous four games in La Liga.

The recent poor run of form has left Getafe just two points clear of the relegation zone.

Their recent league games have not exactly been goal fests, as five of their last six matches have produced under 2.5 goals in the Spanish top flight.

If Getafe is to break clear of the relegation zone, then their record on home soil needs to improve, as Getafe has won just two of their previous 12 games in La Liga at the Coliseum Alfonso Perez.

The Catalan team are in the thick of the fight for top-flight survival this season. Diego Martinez’s team heads into this game in 19th place in the table. The good news for the visitors is that they are just two points adrift of safety in the Spanish top flight.

Espanyol are winless in seven games in La Liga. However, five of those seven games have ended in draws. If they can start turning draws into wins, they will have a better chance of escaping the drop zone.

The visitors have a poor recent away record in the Spanish top-flight, winning just one of their last 16 league matches on their travels.

However, their last three away games in La Liga have ended in 1-1 draws.

What does Forebet predict?

Forebet predicts that these two teams will produce a goalless draw, which will do little to help either team’s chances of escaping the fight for La Liga survival.
