German-born forward Victor Appiah has taken a major step in his career after sealing a deadline-day move to Regionalliga Nord side FC Eintracht Norderstedt.
The 24-year-old striker joins the fourth-tier club from FC Oberneuland, where he had been playing in Germany’s fifth division.
Norderstedt confirmed that Appiah has signed a short-term deal running until the end of the 2025/26 season.
The attacker arrives with momentum after enjoying a prolific spell in the Oberliga, where his goalscoring form drew attention from higher divisions.
Announcing the deal, the club stated: “The ink is dry, the final transfer of the winter window is complete: We are delighted to welcome new signing Victor Appiah. The 24-year-old striker joins us from Bremen’s Oberliga side FC Oberneuland.”
Speaking after completing the move, Appiah said: “The talks with the management were very positive and made my decision to make the move easy. The professional structures and the organized environment particularly impressed me. I want to score a lot of goals and contribute to staying in the league.”
Sporting director Frank Spitzer highlighted the forward’s strengths, saying: “Victor brings many qualities to the table: he has good runs in behind, good speed, and is a real goal threat.”
Spitzer also revealed that competition for Appiah’s signature was strong, adding: “Victor also had offers from other clubs.”
Before the transfer, Appiah registered an impressive 30 goals in 28 appearances for Oberneuland across all competitions.
