Genoa and Frosinone will clash in Serie B this weekend in what has rapidly become one of the biggest games of the season for either side with the game set to take place late Sunday evening at the Luigi Ferraris Stadium.

Ahead of the game, it’s Genoa who are trailing their opposition by three places in the table in what has been a topsy-turvy time for them. Ahead of the clash, Genoa have won seven times, which is four fewer than Frosinone.

However, in letting in 13 goals, the club have the second-best defensive record in the league and the only thing that is separating them from the top team in the league in this regard is their record of 10 let in.

However, Alexander Blessin’s men have scored an alarming 18 goals from just 17 games and this is the lowest number of goals scored in the top half of the table – only Benevento in 12th have netted fewer for those sitting outside of the bottom five.

Genoa drew 0-0 with Ascoli last time out, but by beating Sudtirol 2-0, they have moved into fourth and ahead of Parma by one point and into the playoff positions with a healthy lead on those below them.

As for Frosinone, they are flying high at the top of the league after another unbeaten run. The club have won the most games in the division with 11 games won from 17 outings and lost only three times and drawn the other three.

One of those draws came against Pisa last time out, but they managed to school Reggina not long beforehand in a 3-0 victory away from home.

It does now mean Frosinone are on an unbeaten run that stretches from October 1st when they lost to Parma, Impressive wins over the likes of Cagliari and Bari have since come in and no side has really been able to put their marker down on top spot this season.

In fact, Frosinone are four clear of second-placed Reggina after smashing them 3-0.

Given how close these too are in the table, we’re likely to see quite a close game in Serie B. There are currently just three places that separate either team and it is set to be one of the biggest games of the season for either side. Forebet predicts a draw, however, and for the game to see under 2.5 goals.
