Black Stars head coach Chris Hughton has kept faith in free-scoring Genk attacking machine Joseph Paintsil as he makes the 25-year-old in his squad for the 2024 AFCON qualifiers.

The winger, who steamrolled Genk to an emphatic 3-1 victory over Club Brugge during the weekend, is one of four wingers named the squad alongside Southampton’s Kamaldeen Sulemana.

Paintsil played a crucial role for the Black Stars as the four-time AFCON champions secured a vital point away to Angola in March. The lightning-paced attacker climbed off the bench to set up the equalizer on the 72nd minute.

In the league in Belgium, Paintsil has scored 17 goals and provided 12 assists in 35 games for Genk.
