General Secretary, Executive Council attend State burial of former Sports Minister E.T Mensah

Officials of the Ghana Football Association joined the family and well-wishers to bid farewell to late former Minister of Youth and Sports Hon. Enoch Teye Mensah at the State burial service at the forecourt of the State House. The former Ningo-Prampram Member of Parliament and Council of State member  was laid to rest after the State burial service on Friday, January 5, 2024.

Present at the burial service were Executive Council members, Nana Sarfo Oduro, Eugene Nobel Noel, Samuel Aboabire and General Secretary Prosper Harrison Addo (Esq.).

Also present were Kudjo Fianoo, Chairman of the Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCA), Secretary Samuel Oduro Nyarko, some Ex- Hearts of Oak players and other retired national team players.

The former Sports Minister who was very instrumental in procuring the Ghana Football Association Technical Centre at Prampram, died in South Africa in October 2023 after battling ill health.

Enoch Teye Mensah was also a Minister for Education and a Member of Parliament for the people of Ningo Prampram from January 1997 until January 2017.

The body of the late former Member Parliament was repatriated from South Africa to Ghana on October 10, 2023 where President Kurt E.S Okraku joined Government officials to receive the remains at the Kotoka International Airport.
