Après avoir évolué en 3-4-3 en début de saison, le Paris Saint-Germain a bouleversé ses plans et joue depuis quelques matchs en 4-3-3, un système de nouveau mis en place mardi dernier contre le Maccabi Haïfa en Ligue champions (7-2, 5th day of the group stage). Présent ce vendredi en conférence de presse, avant la réception samedi de Troyes au Parc des Princes comptant pour la 13e journée de Ligue 1, Christophe Galtier a justifié ce changement de système de jeu, bénéfique selon l’entraîneur parisien sur les performances du latéral droit Moroccan Achraf Hakimi.

“Regarding the side and in particular Achraf Hakimi, we thought about how we could free our corridors as much as possible. We therefore leaned towards a system with an animation inside the game and pistons that are positioned very high. We then relied on a central defense made up of three defenders. However, we noticed that with the multiplication of matches our full-backs were more and more tired. It’s an animation that requires a lot of energy from them, with a significant number of high intensity races that sometimes start from very low on the ground. We then carried out a recruitment with circles who are particularly fond of the heart of the game: whether it is Renato Sanches, Fabian Ruiz or Carlos Soler. We then led a reflection on how to have a better control of the game while putting our three offensive elements in good conditions.
Recruté au cours de l’été 2021 contre un chèque de 66,50 millions d’euros, l’ancien défenseur de l’Inter Milan a disputé 18 matchs toutes compétitions confondues depuis le lancement de la saison 2022-2023, pour 12 rencontres et 2 goals in Ligue 1.
