Four of Ghana’s shot-stoppers have been shortlisted for the Goalkeeper of the Month award for September 2025.

The nominees, selected by the Ex-Goalkeepers Union, include Abdul Ganiu Mohammed of Karela United, Benjamin Asare of Hearts of Oak, Lawrence Osei of Heart of Lions, and Kwame Aziz of Vision FC.

Karela’s Ganiu Mohammed was a standout performer, registering two clean sheets and conceding only once in three matches, as his side went unbeaten throughout the month.

At Hearts of Oak, Benjamin Asare proved dependable, keeping three straight clean sheets to help the Phobians collect valuable points.

Lawrence Osei also impressed for Heart of Lions, recording two clean sheets and conceding just once as his team enjoyed a flawless month under Bashir Hayford.

Vision FC’s Kwame Aziz completes the list after an industrious spell that saw him keep two clean sheets in three outings.

Despite conceding four goals overall, his saves were crucial in securing a win and a draw for his side.

The eventual winner will be rewarded by the Ex-Goalkeepers Union with a prize package that includes a pair of gloves, branded towel, water bottles, and a T-shirt.
