Former England and Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand is happy with Thomas Partey’s form for Arsenal after the Gunners returned to the top of Premier League table with 5-0 win over Nottingham Forest.
Partey put up an impressive performance as he helped the Gunners claim biggest top-flight victory over Forest on Sunday at the Emirates stadium.
The 29-year-old received the ball outside the box and unleashed a first-time shot into the top corner.
“I mean no one is saying Thomas Partey is not a good player he is actually a very good player,” Ferdinand said on Vibe with Five.
“He is a very good player and obviously he’s been very good for Arsenal this season and I like him and what he does with the ball and off it so really good.”
He added, “I just think Casemiro has also done very well for us and his experience and quality is there for all to see.”
Partey has made 12 appearances and scored two goals across all competitions for Arsenal this season.
He is expected named in Ghana’s squad for the upcoming 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
