Five Man United first team players put up for sale

New Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has approved the sale of five first-team players at the club even before his arrival.

The Dutchman wants to revamp the team and feels that he needs to do away with some players so as to create space for new faces he believes will be beneficial in his tenure.

ESPN reports that the manager will receive a budget of between £100million and £150m to sign players and kickstart the United rebuild and since this won’t be enough, he will keep some players as he learns about his team through the season.

The reports indicate that 52-year-old has put Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Eric Bailly, Phil Jones, Anthony Martial and Alex Telles all ‘up for sale’ as this will fund their potential signings.

The sale of these players might prove difficult for United as they will be required to lower their wage demands; something that has since seen Sevilla fail to get Martial permanently. Bailly has been linked with a move to Serie A, Telles to Porto with Wan Bissaka and Jones set to remain in England.
