FIFA has granted approval for Hamza Issah and his representatives to terminate his contract with Hearts of Oak, opening the door for an overseas transfer.

The striker is poised to complete a switch to South African outfit Siwelele FC after reaching personal terms with the club.

He is expected to leave Ghana on Sunday at 10 a.m. to finalise the move.

Despite the imminent departure, Hearts of Oak are reportedly urging him to feature in their upcoming clash against Asante Kotoko before travelling.

Meanwhile, his manager Isaac is already in South Africa to conclude the paperwork and oversee the transition.

Issah’s exit follows months of contractual tension between the player and the club.

In December 2025, his representatives at Prosport International initiated formal steps to dissolve the agreement over unpaid wages.

The forward is said to have gone three straight months without receiving his GHC 5,000 monthly salary for September, October, and November.

Under FIFA Regulations on the Status and Transfer of Players, failure to pay a player for more than two consecutive months can constitute just cause for termination.
