Black Stars goalkeeper trainer Fatawu Dauda is optimistic about Ghana’s chances at the 2026 World Cup, citing the emergence of talented goalkeepers as he continues to assess various shot stoppers.
“We have some potential goalkeepers who are doing well that I’m monitoring. God Willing, we’ll have more options,” Dauda said to 3Sports, expressing confidence in the team’s ability to qualify for the tournament.
Dauda has been instrumental in developing Ghana’s goalkeeping talent, working with players like Lawrence Ati-Zigi, Jojo Wollacott, and Benjamin Asare.
He praised the trio for their unity and commitment to the team, highlighting Asare’s impressive performances in recent matches.
With four months to go, Dauda emphasized the importance of upcoming games.
