Black Stars goalkeeper’s trainer Fatau Dauda has defended Benjamin Asare, saying the goalkeeper is coachable and a fast learner.
Asare has been under pressure for his performances despite making match winning saves, but Dauda believes he’s taking the criticism positively and working hard to improve.
“I keep advising him to stay focused because the technical team saw you play in the Premier League, in the local league, and then you were selected,” Dauda told 3Sports.
Dauda is expected to be Ghana’s number 1 goalkeeper at the 2026 World Cup.
With Dauda’s guidance, Asare is expected to bounce back stronger and complete the season on a high.
Dauda praised Asare’s attitude, saying he’s a player who listens and adapts quickly. “He’s a fast learner, he’s coachable, and that’s what we need,” Dauda added.
