Football fans the world over have flooded to social media on Friday evening, to send a collective plea to the powers that be in the game, regarding Karim Benzema.
Hitman Benzema, of course, marked his return to the international stage a short time ago.
Fresh off rounding out a stunning individual campaign with glory in the Champions League, the veteran hitman led the line for France in the country’s Nations League opener versus Denmark.
The clash, ultimately, did not go to plan for Les Bleus, who were ultimately put to the sword by two goals to one owing to a late brace on the part of substitute Andreas Cornelius.

But that man Benzema nevertheless impressed once more, bagging France’s only goal on the night courtesy of a brilliant solo effort.
After picking the ball up on the right flank, the Real Madrid star cut inside, exchanges passes with Christopher Nkunku before dancing his way beyond a trio of defenders and picking out the far corner in style:

And Benzema’s latest endeavours, despite coming en route to a disappointing result for France, have not gone at all unappreciated amongst fans.
