Fabregas leaves Monaco after three years

AS Monaco have confirmed Cesc Fabregas’ departure from the club on a free transfer.

The former Arsenal and Chelsea midfielder had been at the French side since the start of 2019 and made 68 appearances for the club – scoring four times.

“The midfielder with more than 830 career games, whose contract is coming to an end, leaves the Principality club three and a half years after his arrival,” part of a statement from Monaco read.

Monaco also announced former Arsenal goalkeeper Vito Mannone’s exit at the end of his contract on Friday.
