Ex-Spain star Inaki Williams wants to give back to Ghanaians over love shown –

Ghana new boy Inaki Williams claims he wants to give back to Ghanaians for the love they have shown following his decision to switch international allegiance from Spain.

The 28-year-old confirmed his decision to represent Ghana this summer after years of rejection. He announced he will play for Ghana in July after a brief holiday in the West African country.

Williams dropped a video on his social media platforms to announce his international allegiance to Ghana which went viral immediately as Ghanaian fans welcomed Basque-born striker’s switch.

The one-time Spain international says he is going to repay Ghana for the love, trust and opportunity given to him, he told Spanish media during an interview.

“I’m going to enjoy the moment, enjoy my roots and give back to Ghana for the opportunity it has given me,” Williams said.

Williams is expected to be handed his maiden Black Stars call-up next month during the international break.

Ghana are looking for international friendlies to compensate the postponement of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifications which were initially scheduled for next month.

The Athletic Bilbao forward could play his first match in Ghana shirt during that period.
