Ghanaian defender Baba Abdul Rahman came off the bench to score a crucial equalizer for PAOK Thessaloniki in their 2-2 Europa League draw with Viktoria Plzen.
Baba, who replaced Joan Sastre in the 66th minute, played a vital role by scoring in injury time, securing PAOK’s first point in the competition.
Despite only 25 minutes on the pitch, Baba’s impressive performance earned him a 7.9 rating from sports website Flash Score after the game at Greece’s Toumba Stadium.
The 30-year-old left-back now has two goals in five appearances this season for PAOK. Meanwhile, former Bechem United forward Prince Adu Kwabena provided both assists for Plzen in the draw.
Plzen initially took the lead with a goal from Milan Havel in the 31st minute, followed by Matej Vydra’s strike just before halftime. However, PAOK pushed hard in the second half, creating multiple chances with Tarik Tissoudali scoring in the 84th minute, sparking hope for a comeback.
