Derek Boateng has tipped Ghana to compete strongly against England and Croatia at the 2026 FIFA World Cup but believes Panama pose the biggest danger in Group L.
The Black Stars will open their campaign against the Central American side before facing England and later Croatia.
While England carry pedigree, Derek insists reputation alone will not decide matches at the tournament.
Sharing his assessment, the former midfielder played down the threat of the Three Lions. “England is not tough for us.
“England is afraid of us,” he said.
“The team we have to look at more is Panama and I feel like we have to make sure we win that game.”
He believes a positive result in the opener could shape Ghana’s entire group campaign.
With momentum and confidence, Derek is convinced the Black Stars can stand toe-to-toe with any opponent in Group L.
