Emmanuel Gyasi: I will work for other goals if I miss out on Ghana’s squad for the World Cup

Spezia Calcio winger, Emmanuel Gyasi has disclosed that he has expressed his readiness to go to the World Cup with the Ghana national team to head coach Otto Addo.

Speaking to La Gazzetta dello Sport before Spezia game against Fiorentina in the Serie A, the hardworking forward said he won’t be too bothered if he doesn’t make the Black Stars squad for the upcoming tournament.

He said should he miss out on the final 26-man squad, he will focus his energy on other things.

“I have a good relationship with the new Ghana coach Addo. We spoke four weeks ago and I made myself available. I expressed the dream of going to the World Cup, if I am not chosen I will work for other goals,” Emmanuel Gyasi said.

After committing the last few years of his career to Spezia Calcio, the forward has risen through the ranks to become captain of the Italian Serie A club.

He is a key player for the team and is regarded highly by coaches, teammates, and fans of the club as well.

“Being captain for me is a great pride, I arrived here from Serie C and now I wear the headband, worn before me by a great like Giulio Maggiore,” Gyasi said in the recent interview.
