Newly promoted Techiman Eleven Wonders have begun the second round of the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League on a positive note with a 2-0 victory over Basake Holy Stars.
The result marked only their second win of the campaign and moved the club to nine points as they continue their fight to beat relegation.
Despite the timely boost, head coach Emmanuel Aidoo insists his team will not lose focus.
“It feels great, but we still need to work more. We are not going to get swollen-headed because of this win,” he said.
“There are more hurdles to clear. Of course, we are excited, but the work continues.”
Aidoo revealed that the contest was far from straightforward, especially before the break.
“The first half was for them and they couldn’t make use of their chances,” Aidoo explained.
“In the second half, we also took over. In football, you need to take your chances – that’s all.”
Although Eleven Wonders remain rooted at the bottom in 18th place, with nine points, Aidoo maintains that the club’s season objective remains unchanged.
