Richmond Gyamfi has joined Norwegian second-tier club Egersund on loan from Danish Superliga side Aarhus GF. The 21-year-old Ghanaian centre-forward has signed with Egersund until 31 December 2026.
Gyamfi moves to the OBOS-ligaen club after returning to Aarhus at the end of last season, following a loan spell with Danish side Esbjerg fB. His switch to Egersund was completed on 1 September.
The Accra-born striker joined Esbjerg on loan in August 2025 and returned to Aarhus on 30 June 2026. That followed an earlier temporary move to Esbjerg’s fellow Danish club Hobro IK during the 2024-25 campaign.
Gyamfi joined Aarhus from Hobro on 10 July 2024 in a permanent transfer worth €900,000. He had initially moved to Hobro from an undisclosed previous club on a free transfer in February 2024.
Standing at 1.85m, Gyamfi is a right-footed forward whose main position is centre-forward. He has represented Ghana at international level, with Egersund becoming the latest club in a career that has so far included spells in both Denmark and Norway.
His move comes with Egersund competing in Norway’s OBOS-ligaen, while Aarhus play in Denmark’s top flight. The loan gives Gyamfi a new club environment after a period in which he spent the 2025-26 season contracted to Aarhus but playing away from the club.
Gyamfi’s transfer history includes three loan moves since joining Aarhus: first to Hobro, then to Esbjerg, and now to Egersund. Each of those moves has taken place within the Danish or Norwegian league systems, while his registration remains connected to Aarhus.
The forward’s market value is listed at €500,000, while his highest recorded value is €600,000. Those figures do not form part of the transfer agreement, which is recorded as a loan move.
Egersund have therefore added a Ghanaian striker to their squad for the remainder of 2026, with Gyamfi’s loan scheduled to end on 31 December. He is then due to return to Aarhus GF.
