Eduardo Camavinga has revealed that he has spoken to international teammate Aurelien Tchouameni about moving to Real Madrid this summer.
As reported by 90min on Tuesday, Real are close to reaching a final agreement to sign Tchouameni from Monaco. The two clubs had been haggling over a transfer fee but a breakthrough has now been made.
90min understands that Tchouameni has long since agreed personal terms with Real too, who are set to beat the likes of Liverpool, Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain to his signature.
The 22-year-old is set to link up with fellow young French midfielder Camavinga at the Santiago Bernabeu and this prospect is an exciting one for the former Rennes man.
“It’s fun, that’s for sure!” he told L’Equipe ahead of France’s UEFA Nations League clash with Denmark.
“He is a player I have already met in selection. I hope he will come, I don’t know exactly what it is yet, but I have already spoken with him. We’ll see what happens in the days to come.”
Listen now to 90min’s brand new podcast, Talking Transfers, with Scott Saunders, Graeme Bailey & Toby Cudworth. This week they discuss whether Sadio Mane will leave Liverpool for Bayern Munich, Manchester United’s pursuit of Benfica striker Darwin Nunez, Newcastle’s plans for Moussa Diaby and Sven Botman & Jorginho’s future at Chelsea.
Tchouameni enjoyed another fine club season last time out, appearing in almost every one of his side’s matches in all competitions. He is already a regular in the national team, picking up eight caps and scoring once so far.
