Ghanaian youngster Edmund Baidoo continued his fine form for Red Bull Salzburg, finding the net in their unexpected 3–2 home defeat to WSG Tirol in the Austrian Bundesliga.
The 19-year-old was handed a starting role in the Round 14 clash and looked lively from the opening stages.
Salzburg struck early through Moussa Kounfolo Yeo, who levelled the score after the visitors’ opener and shifted momentum toward the hosts.
Yeo then turned creator shortly before halftime, sliding a pass to Baidoo, who finished confidently to make it 2–0 heading into the break.
The goal took Baidoo’s league tally to four for the 2025/26 campaign, underscoring his strong start to the season. He was withdrawn in the 61st minute for Clement Bischoff, a change that preceded a costly turn in the match.
WSG Tirol pulled one back almost immediately through Nikolai Baden Frederiksen and kept pressing until Jamie Lawrence struck the equaliser in the 74th minute.
The visitors went down to ten men late in the game but refused to settle for a draw. Deep into added time, they were awarded a penalty, which Valentino Müller converted to complete a stunning comeback.
The defeat leaves Salzburg frustrated after letting a commanding lead slip, while Baidoo’s performance remained one of the brighter moments of their afternoon.
