Ghanaian teenager Douglas Owusu played a decisive role as FK Radnik Surdulica secured a valuable 1–1 draw away to Cukaricki in the Serbian Super Liga.

The 19-year-old attacker was on the pitch for the entire match during the week 19 encounter at the Stadion na Banovom brdu on Saturday.

Cukaricki made a strong start and went ahead in the 19th minute through Aboubacar Cissé, who finished off a well-worked move set up by Bojica Nikcevic.

Radnik Surdulica pushed forward after the restart in search of an equaliser, but clear chances proved difficult to come by.

Their persistence eventually paid off in the 80th minute when Owusu kept his composure from the penalty spot to restore parity.

The goal swung momentum in Radnik’s favour late in the contest, allowing them to see out the game and return home with a crucial point.

The young forward has now scored six goals in 19 league appearances and continues to be a consistent attacking outlet.
